Inkontinenz Unterwäsche

Incontinence Underwear children/adults

The incontinence briefs are washable at 40 to max. 60  Degree. It is better to limit the temperature to 40 degrees. They can be washed by washing machine or by hand.

  • Wash underwear inside out

  • Wash at 40 degrees

  • Pre-treat stubborn stains with a stain remover

  • Do not use chlorine bleach or fabric softener

  • Set the iron to delicates

  • Tumble dry on the lowest setting, but they hold up better without the tumble dryer.

Why wash at 40 degrees and not at 60?

The incontinence briefs are washable at 40 to max. 60 degrees. Better to limit it to 40 degrees. The reason for this is the special absorbent insert in the pants. If the temperature is too high, this special layer clumps together and no longer feels uniform. Their suction power then also decreases. If the underwear is heavily soiled, you can pre-treat the items with a stain spray.

Is 40 degrees enough?

Contrary to what many people think, it is not necessary to always wash underwear at 60 degrees. That used to be the norm, but not anymore. Today's detergents are strong enough to wash perfectly clean even at lower temperatures. In addition, washing too hot will cause your underwear to wear out more quickly.

Although 40 degrees is enough to get your underwear clean, this temperature does not kill the bacteria in your underwear. It is therefore advisable to wash your underwear at 60 degrees every now and then. Can't wash your underwear at 60 degrees? Then put them in a plastic bag and put them in the freezer for a few days. The cold will kill the bacteria.

After receipt we recommend you:

  1. First, try on sensor underpants. For optimal function, the sensor pants should fit well on the body.

  2. Wash the sensor pants according to the washing instructions.

  3. The sensor underpants are ready for use.

Please note the following points when using:

  • Preferably do not use liquid detergent. Using (too) much detergent and/or fabric softener has a negative effect on the sensitivity of the sensor underpants and thus the alarm signal.

  • Do not dry the sensor underpants on a hot heater or wring them out. Please do not iron either.

  • During the day, take the transmitter out of the sensor pants and click it onto the receiver. This prevents accidental washing of the transmitter.  The transmitter has a fixed location, is fully charged and ready for use in the evening.
