Alarm training
Trainings procedure

Before going to sleep, the child puts on the pants.

The child attaches the transmitter to the pants.

The vibrating element can help the child wake up more easily. It can also replace the audible alarm if siblings sleep in the same room.

When the child urinates, the receiver sounds an alarm and wakes the child up. Waking up stops the flow of urine, and the child can then go to the toilet. Once the urine flow is stopped, the bed will no longer become completely wet. After a few days of practice, only the pants will be slightly wet and the bed linen will no longer need to be changed.

If the pants become wet, the child removes the transmitter. This disconnects it from the receiver. The child can then switch off the alarm.

Many children have an alarm shortly after falling asleep. This indicates a low bladder capacity. The bladder fills up quickly. During this phase of sleep, a child sleeps very deeply and does not wake up easily.
Bladder training
Many children do not drink enough during the day. Children often think, “If I drink less, I won’t have to go to the toilet as often.” In itself a clever thought, but... the less you drink, the smaller the bladder becomes.
In most children with bedwetting, the bladder capacity is too low. If the bladder is too small and cannot stretch well, it can only store a small amount of urine. As a result, bedwetting happens early in the night. Many children find it difficult to drink a lot, which makes the problem worse, because their bladder becomes even smaller.

Drinking bottle
That is why we offer drinking training. When renting or buying an alarm device, we provide each child with a fun drinking bottle in cheerful colours. The bottle is transparent, so the child can clearly see how much they have drunk each day.
The child can take this bottle to school, to sports activities, and outside to play.
In the training manual, we try to explain the function of the bladder to the child in a playful way using a balloon. We also give recommendations on how much the child should ideally drink each day.
Personal accompaniment
The bedwetting alarm is not a cure, but it offers a training method to help the child gain full control over the bladder sphincter, even during sleep. It is important that the child is motivated to overcome bedwetting. This training can be quite intensive and requires teamwork between the caregiver and the user.
We provide you with a training book containing practical tips for the training. From experience, we know that especially the first month can be very demanding. That is why we are happy to support you personally during this difficult period.
Our experience shows that a motivated child with the right guidance can complete the training much better and more quickly.
