Support
Children with daytime incontinence often benefit from support from professionals – for example, a specialist doctor or therapist – and, depending on the situation, also from good cooperation with the school. With proper assessment, appropriate training, and sensitive support, the symptoms can be significantly improved in many cases.

Urinary incontinence in schools: Teachers are so important
Involving teachers can be crucial in helping children better manage their incontinence. The constant worry of "getting wet" in class, during breaks, or on field trips is very stressful for children and teenagers.
When teachers are informed about the situation and support the agreed measures in everyday school life (e.g., allowing toilet time, providing discreet support), affected children often make noticeably faster progress.
In an online training course offered by the University Clinic for Pediatric Surgery at Inselspital Bern, teachers learn how to best support children with functional urinary incontinence.
